Pumpkin Soup

It is one of the best recovery meals for athletes during heavy training days and tournaments. It is an anti-inflammatory soup which also helps to boost immunity.

Servings: 2 persons


  • Pumpkin- 1 Medium (200 g approx.)
  • Onion: 1 Large chopped
  • Garlic cloves: 4-6 No.
  • Turmeric: Half tsp
  • Salt: Half Tsp
  • Cinnamon Powder: 1/4th Tsp
  • Nutmeg powder: 1/4th Tsp
  • Cloves: 2 No.
  • Pumpkin Seed: 1 Tsp
  • Sesame seed: Half Tsp
  • Coriander leaves chopped: For decoration
  • Sesame oil/ White oil: 1 Tbsp


  • Peel and deseed the pumpkin and cut them in thin slices
  • In a pan drizzle few drops of oil and cook the Pumpkins in low flame till they become soft.
  • Remove the pumpkin from the flame and sauté Onion and Garlic with Turmeric, Nutmeg and Cloves.
  • Mix all the ingredients and blend in a food processor till the mixture is smooth
  • Put the blended mixture in low flame, add 150 ml water and bring it to boil.
  • All the coconut milk and mix well.
  • Pour in the serving bowl and sprinkle salt pepper, roasted pumpkin seed, chopped coriander and sesame seed on top.

Serve hot with Multigrain Toast.
